Remember to register for Social events

As always at congresses it is becoming obvious that some Social events are more popular than others.  We therefore encourage you to remember to register early for those events you are considering to attend, before they become sold out.

ImageBreaking news.
In the setting of top qualified musicicians and a magnificant church with great acoustic abilities, we invite you to a most enjoyable and memorable music experience on Thursday June 14th.
Because of interest in the magnificent Concert, we have decided to offer it also as a seperate event.  In the current Social program this event starts with a Reykjavik City Sightseeing tour at 17:30 and ends with the Concert but  by registering by e-mail at This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it   you can also come directly to the Hallgrímskirkja church where the Concert starts at 20:00.

The Hallgrímskirkja church (Hallgrímur´s church) is named after a famous Icelandic hymn writer Hallgrímur Pétursson (1614-74) whose most notable work are the Passion hymns, a collection of hymns meant to be sung through the 9 weeks of fast before easter, 50 in all. The church is situated in the city centre and its landmark tower is visible throughout the city and has become one of Reykjavík's best known symbols. The church houses an impressive pipe organ by the German organbuilder Klais and has four manuals (keyboards), 102 ranks, 72 registers and 5275 pipes. The church is also used as an observation tower and you can take a lift up to the viewing deck where you get great views of Reykjavík and the surrounding mountains.
The curch has several famed choirs and among them is The Schola cantorum, the chamber choir of the church. The cantor, Hörður Áskelsson, is a famous and highly experienced as an organist and a conductor.

The price for the Reykjavík Sightseeing and Concert is  ISK 4.800 but the cost for only the Concert is ISK 1.500. Those who want to register for only the concert do not go through the registering process again but only send an e-mail to  This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it with their request.
